(Cover) - EN Star Style - Lauren Conrad is focusing on the colours and samples for her new fashion line, but knows things will get more stressful soon.

The reality television star announced she was working on a new line in July, and it has since transpired she will star in a new series documenting the collections progress. Lauren is collaborating with some of her close friends on the line, and says it will be edgier and pricier than her budget Lauren Conrad collection, which is currently sold by US retail giant Kohls.

She has already started planning the new range, although it is very early days at the moment. Well, we're in the very beginning process. We just submitted all of our tech packs for samples, so very early stages, she told MTV News.

It will get stressful after this, when you're dealing with deadlines, and you're dealing with production and the possibility of a fashion show. That's kind of when all the stress comes in. So, right now we're just picking colours and doing samples.

Lauren is excited about the new project as it is so different from her current Kohls line. With that one she works hard to keep costs down, but her upcoming collection will be more lavish.

I do a lot of basics, so we have a great blazer, a high-waisted black skirt and biker jacket, and all those pieces can be traded throughout, she said of her Kohls line. It's a lot of layering, a lot of switching-up, so you can get more mileage."

Lauren launched her first fashion range, the Lauren Conrad Collection, at Los Angeles fashion week in 2008. Last year, she announced she was halting production of the line, cancelling her spring and summer 2009 lines. (C) Cover Media
