(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lemmy says he became a rock star because he didnt want to be a chartered accountant.
The Motrhead front man is renowned for his hell-raising behaviour including taking copious amounts of drugs and bedding many women.
And the rock musician believes his path was the only one to take, even though he would have second thoughts about it if he was a teenager now.
The Ace of Spades icon believes the industry is different these days and it is something he thinks about a lot.
Rocks changed and not for the better, Lemmy told Gaz7etta magazine. Would I go into it as a 16-year-old today? Man I could talk about that for two weeks.
However, he added he is happy with his life and any other occupation seems boring by comparison. What else are you going to do? Become a chartered accountant? he joked.
While many people suggest personal differences lead to music groups splitting, Lemmy suggests this is not the case with him.
In rock, its always supposed to be personal differences that break you up. Thats bulls**t. I always felt that no personal differences were big enough to break up the band, he said.
The 64-year-old argues that he is too strong to ever let anything like that stop him, despite the fact it affected colleagues. He is adamant nothing else is as important as music. I mean, people have left the band, but I always carried on. I never considered doing anything else, he explained. (C) Cover Media
