(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio "hopes" he isn't recognisable in his new film J. Edgar.
The actor has become famous for his golden boy looks after appearing in movies such as Titanic and Romeo & Juliet.
However, Leonardo has recently been taking on more challenging roles. His latest film sees him portray the former director of the FBI J. Edgar Hoover.
The actor spent six hours in make-up every day while shooting. To appear older than his 36 years he had prosthetics with lines and wrinkles added to his face and his body was padded to look overweight.
"I hope I don't look anything like that!" he told People at the film's premiere. "They were very meticulous in trying to create a very overweight version of myself but with [J. Edgar] Hoover's attributes. So I think it was a combination of both things."
Leonardo took to the red carpet last night at Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California.
The heartthrob looked back to his normal self in a sleek, traditional two-piece black suit and pale shirt and tie. (C) Cover Media
