(Cover) - EN Star Style - Phillipa Lepley is said to be on a shortlist to design Kate Middletons wedding gown.

It was announced this week that beautiful Kate will marry Britains Prince William next year, and the public and fashion insiders alike are desperate to know who will create her wedding dress for the big day.

With her slender figure, pretty face and elegant dress-sense, Kate as become something of a style icon, so designers are clamouring to design a robe for her to walk down the aisle in.

Kate is expected to choose a designer from her native country as this is the tradition in British royal weddings, although as yet nobody has been confirmed.

The current favourite is reported to be London-based Phillipa, who is celebrated for her chic robes which are adored by many celebrities.

Rupert Adams, a spokesman for UK bookmaker William Hill, told People magazine there has been more than 1,000 suddenly wagered on Phillipa being chosen, which indicates theres a very strong chance she could be the one.

"There is rarely smoke without fire, and I would suggest she is possibly in the running and on a shortlist," he explained.

A spokeswoman for Phillipas couture store in the exclusive London district of Chelsea has refused to comment. (C) Cover Media
