Liam Hemsworth insists that he is "not a heartthrob".
The 22-year-old Australian actor is swarmed by adoring fans wherever he goes but he is not buying into the hype of his new status.
With The Hunger Games set to be a massive success when it is released later this month, and a singer girlfriend in the shape of Miley Cyrus, Liam says he still cannot believe his luck.
"I don't consider myself a heartthrob in anyway," he told reporters at the movie premiere. "I'm just pinching myself. I'm truly fortunate to be a part of this whole process.
"I'm trying to take it day by day and I'm constantly pinching myself. I just feel like I am part of a crazy ride right now."
Liam's older brother Chris, 28, starred in last summer's blockbuster movie Thor and gave him advice on what to expect.
"My brother had somewhat been through it," Liam said. "And he's always been a big role model in my life. I try to take as much knowledge from him as I can."
The Hunger Games is a science fiction action film based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins and also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Banks.
