The 58-year-old Irish actor is father to 15-year-old Michael and Daniel, 14, his two sons with late wife Natasha Richardson, who passed away after a skiing accident in March 2009.

Liam admits he often passes time by relaxing in front of the TV, and his guilty pleasures include animated comedy Family Guy a show his two boys adore. He feels that by watching the same programmes as the teenagers, he will be able to tap into their thoughts better.

My kids love Family Guy and I want to get into whatever theyre watching, so I can understand them a little better, he revealed.

Liam is also a massive fan of long-running cartoon comedy The Simpsons, and has been discussing his favourite characters. He especially admires the romance between the shows animated married couple Marge and Homer Simpson.

But my preference is The Simpsons. I like Chief Wiggum and Marge best of all. She and Homer give each other free rein; there are complaints, but they are very much a couple, he beamed. (C) Cover Media
