Lily Allen favours 1950s vintage

16th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Star Style - Lily Allen has revealed that her favourite era for vintage clothing is the 1950s.

The singer, who opened a vintage-inspired fashion boutique with her sister Sarah Owen last year, has just launched a self-designed range inspired by retro garments and described her favourite items from her own wardrobe.

But while she named old school Hollywood glamour as her favourite look, she joked she lacks the traditional pin-up curves.

"For me personally it would be fifties Hollywood, that's what I love. I just need t*ts to go with it one day!" she laughed in an interview with fashion website Catwalk Queen.

The 26-year-old newlywed also said that the fictional character representing the sisters' Lucy In Disguise brand is an outrageous socialite. Lily said that Lucy inspires not only what vintage items the siblings buy for their London boutique, but also played a part in inspiring their own designs for the new fashion line.

"She's crazy [laughs]! We've got a blurb that says she's a time travelling fashionista, she's sexy, fun, all girls want to be her friend and all boys want to be a little bit more! But she changes; in the roaring twenties she was hanging out with aristocrats having cream teas at The Ritz and in the seventies she's trying to f**k Mick Jagger on the back of a tour bus. She changes, she's having fun and she likes dressing up," she said. (C) Cover Media
