Lindsay Lohan was reportedly arrested this morning after leaving the scene of an accident.
According to TMZ, the troubled actress was taken into custody in New York City after "clipping" a person with her car. The incident apparently happened while the 26-year-old was driving slowly.
"Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Lindsay was pulling in to park her Porsche Cayenne near the Dream Hotel in downtown NYC when she allegedly hit the knee of a 30-something year old guy," reports the site.
It's claimed a person in Lindsay's car got out to check the vehicle hadn't been affected. Afterwards, the actress and her entourage went into the hotel.
The police were then summoned, with Lindsay arrested as she left the establishment at around 2am.
TMZ reports she was "booked for leaving the scene of an accident" which is a misdemeanour offence. She was given a desk appearance ticket, which in New York is a document which orders a person to attend a criminal court for an arraignment. It meant she did not have to post bail.
It's thought the unidentified man did go to hospital, although he didn't sustain serious injuries.
Lindsay has been arrested several times before and earlier this year was named a person of interest in a jewellery theft. She was later ruled out of the case.
