(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been hospitalised following a car accident in Los Angeles.

The Hollywood actress is currently being treated in an emergency room at an undisclosed hospital in the city.

According to TMZ, Lindsay was driving her black Porsche down Pacific Coast Highway when her vehicle smashed into the back of a huge tractor-trailer truck.

Her car is an absolute wreck, as the passenger side window was shattered and the rear bumper completely knocked off the automobile.

Although an ambulance was called to the scene, Lindsay reportedly opted not to take that transport to the emergency room.

Her condition is currently unknown, but it is thought that the actress' wounds aren't life-threatening. Doctors are said to be performing tests on Lindsay at the moment to root out the severity of Lindsay's injuries.

The 25-year-old actress is currently shooting Liz & Dick, which is about Dame Elizabeth Taylor's relationship with her two-time husband Richard Burton. (C) Cover Media
