(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lindsay Lohan is being led by people with "misguided morals and ways", claims her father.

The 26-year-old star has experienced a difficult time recently. She claimed she was assaulted in her hotel room by a man she'd met in a club and had a violent argument with her mother to which the police were called.

Her father Michael is adamant Lindsay need to change up the people around her.

"I am very upset with the crowd around Lindsay," he told New York Post via email. "My advice to ALL the negative influences in Lindsay and my other children's lives is, this time, you have crossed the line and bitten off a lot more than you can chew! My family will not be subject to your misguided morals and ways!"

Lindsay phoned Michael during the disagreement with her mother Dina. She claimed her mom had taken cocaine, but later insisted she'd been lying. The star was incensed when Michael released a recording of their conversation online and has vowed not to talk to him again.

It's been reported Lindsay will open up about her chaotic life during an interview with Barbara Walters. She is apparently due to talk to Barbara over the next few weeks, with much of the interview focusing on Lindsay's portrayal of Dame Elizabeth Taylor in her new TV movie Liz & Dick.

According to TMZ she will also discuss her private life but believes Barbara won't ask her too many awkward questions.

Despite the problems in her life, Lindsay was seen looking relaxed at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles last week. She talked happily with her friends at the establishment, where it was previously reported she was banned from for not paying a $46,000 bill.

"Lindsay was very talkative and led much of the conversation," an insider told People. "The group shared hot tea and late night salads. Lindsay definitely seemed at ease and in high spirits as they enjoyed a low-key night." (C) Cover Media
