Liza Malik mistaken for a Match-Fixing source!

10th May 2011

Liza Malik, who was seen in the reality show 'Dancing Queen' aired on the TV channel Colors, says she is receiving calls for 'Match Fixing'. A UK-based bookie, who calls himself Razaaq aka Razz, has been calling Malik and asking her to use her alleged familiarity with Indian cricketers to help him fix matches in the on-going Indian Premier League (IPL). She has been offered Rs. 50 lakh for the job. Liza, who is also a stage performer, has done several shows that were attended by cricketers playing in the IPL and for Team India. She was also a regular at the IPL post-match parties last year.

Liza was in Thailand last week, when she started getting calls from unknown international numbers asking her to help in speaking to cricketers playing in the IPL.

After Liza got a bit rude with the man, he threatened her with dire consequences if she did not do his bidding. It seemed like she was being tracked as he knew where she lived, knew about her family and even knew that she was in Thailand. Petrified, Liza has now registered a non-cognizable complaint against an unknown person under Section 307 (issuing threats through phone calls) of the IPC.
