(Cover) - EN Showbiz - LL Cool J has showed off his generous side by picking up the tab for a group of strangers while dining on Sunday.

The 44-year-old rapper-turned-actor was having dinner at Beverly Hills restaurant Mr. Chow when he struck up a conversation with five women who were on a girls' night out.

TMZ reports that the women weren't supermodels or actresses but rather normal ladies who got together for the pricey meal.

They said that LL was eating at the table next to them and they hit it off almost immediately and even got to pose for a photograph with the NCIS: Los Angeles star.

The women told the site that it wasn't until they asked their waiter for the bill that they were told the actor had already paid for their entire tab.

Although they refrained from saying how much their meal had come to, the Chinese eatery is not a cheap place to dine and is a favourite among celebrities. (C) Cover Media
