London gives 'SOTY' a warm reception

5th October 2012

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has been aggressively promoting his forthcoming release 'Student of The Year' (SOTY). From India to London, he has taken his film everywhere. And recently when he along with his team promoted the film in London, the reception they got from the fans there were nothing less than astonishing.

The promotional event was flooded with thousands of fans. And not only were they cheering the newbies, but they also surprised them by chanting the now-hit-songs from their film.

To experience that kind of a buzz about the film in a foreign land was quite overwhelming for the entire team.

The team of 'SOTY' were bestowed with another honor when a big channel invited them for an interview, a privilege that no other film has got in recent times in the UK.

Film's director Karan exclaimed that this indeed was an awe-inspiring response for them."It's been overwhelming travelling with the team of SOTY. The response to the three newcomers has been fantastic. London received us with open arms and the crowds cheered the kids with love and warmth. They even sang along as songs of the film were played. It feels great to see the energy the film is generating," said Karan.

Co-produced by Dharma Productions and Shah Rukh Khan's 'Red Chillies Entertainment', the film is slated to release on October 19.
