Sreeram Chandra, who shot to fame with his singing skills in the fifth season of Indian Idol 5, is now making his debut in a Telugu movie as an actor.

Though the singer debuted his playback career in the Telugu film industry, he has now signed a film titled 'Prema Geema Janta Nai' which also has a tag line - 'I Hate Love'.

The singer has done a cameo in a yet-to-be released devotional film which is 'Aadi Shankaracharya', but the latter will be his first as a lead actor.

The singer now-turned actor, was given too many stories to look into as a lead, but he knew this film that he signed was the one he wanted to make a debut with.

This love-story is directed by Subbu Panchu and the shooting schedule will commence from November, announced the makers.
