Quite often, sequels are planned, in Kannada. 'Police Story -3' has been completed by Thriller Manju in twelve hours of shooting. 'Shubamangala', a 35 year old Kannada film script, is taken up by producer Dinesh Gandhi. Reportedly, it will be remade with minor changes. After the success of 'Love Guru', director Prashanth Raj is soon going to start shooting for 'Love Guru 2'. On the making of the sequel to 'Love Guru', Prashanth says that it was the audience's requests that prompted him to take it up. "I received an amazing response for 'Love Guru'. Even today, I get calls from people on how the film has touched them. I always had a sequel in mind and felt that it was time I went ahead with it. Moreover, people are curious as to what happened to all the characters in the film."

With Tharun in the lead, Prashanth says that there will be a new heroine in the film. "We can't use Radhika again because her role ends in the first part. Prashanth will also be directing a trilingual called 'Dil Kush' and if rumours are to be believed; he will be roping in a popular Telugu actor for it. "I don't want to talk much about it right now, as my concentration is totally on Love Guru 2. When the time is right, I will surely announce that as well," he says.
