Immortal Rafi Saab remembered in Karnataka
13th June 2011
The unforgettable Mohammad Rafi was remembered recently in Bangalore by enthusiastic young singers. The legendary singer's 36 popular songs were sung by singers Anil Bajpai and Hamid Khan, who infused life into the evergreen songs and treated the audience to a brilliant concert. The concert was a medley of romantic, soft and patriotic songs and was presented very well.
"There is no comparison to Rafi's songs. I don't know how many times I have listened to some of his songs. Still, I crave for more. I had attended this event last year too and I liked the event. So, this time, I came here with a lot of expectations. I could identify a lot of improvisations in both Hamid and Anil this time," said Praveen Rego, a member of the audience.
Anil Bajpai was his best throughout the show and performed some everlasting songs like 'Baharo Phool Barsao', 'Ye Duniya Ye Mehfil Mere Kaam Ki' and 'Tere Zulfon Se'.
Some lucky members of the audience won attractive gifts for getting the right answers in an open quiz about Rafi. Chandramouli, who was the first to buy tickets for the event and Ashok Sadhwani, who bought more than 25 tickets, won surprise gifts during the show.
