The 14th installment of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) weekend is in full swing, and with the star quotient, IIFA promises to be one of the high-profile award shows this year as well.
Macau, which is the venue for IIFA 2013, is for sure buzzing. The IIFA weekend had the perfect jumpstart on Thursday with stars from Abhishek Bachchan and Parineeti Chopra to Ayushmann Khurrana and Jacqueline Fernandez among others at the press conference.
While the list of celebrity invitees includes the award nominees, hosts, presenters and high-profile guests, the trend for a movie production promoting their movie has certainly been in full swing at IIFA this year. As part of the promotional buzz on this international platform, it was the 'Gulaab Gang' team along with Madhuri Dixit, who are in Macau for their movie promotion.
A press conference was held by the makers of the film, and fans were eagerly waiting to see their star Madhuri make an appearance, but to everyone's surprise, it was a no show from the actress. This certainly baffled the media and the fans. It was later reported that the actress was in fact a little under the weather with the jetlag from travelling to Hong Kong.
Let's hope the actress feels better soon, as we would love to see more of Madhuri at the IIFA.
