Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Mental Hai Kya' has landed in trouble with its first look. Members of the Indian Psychiatric Society are disappointed with the movie title, as it puts mental illnesses in bad light. A letter was directed to CBFC Chairman Prasoon Joshi addressing the violation of Mental Health Care Act, 2017.
The members of IPS are also doubtful about the content of the film. Moreover, they have also demanded to chop off the portions of the film that might violate the act, that protects, promotes and let them exercise their rights who suffer from mental illnesses.
Prasoon Joshi is yet to look into the matter and the pair has remained unavailable for any comment. The film is set to release on June 21, 2019.
