Kangana deserves to be Indian of the year for Manikarnika

At the recent Lokmat Maharashtrian Of The Year Awards, actress Mayuri Deshmukh was asked who according to her should win this award and her answer was that no one deserves it more than Kangana Ranaut.

She said, "Kangana deserves to be Maharashtrian Of The Year, Indian of the year for Manikarnika. Reason being, it is solo heroine movie, it is a period film and it is doing good numbers. The performance that she has given in Manikarnika for that she deserves to be awarded Maharashtrian Of The Year, Indian of the year and all the other awards."

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was released on January 25 on the eve of Republic Day. The movie is a biopic on the life of Rani Lakshmibai. The movie has already crossed Rs. 100 crore at the domestic box office and still going strong.

In this movie, Kangana's acting and direction has been praised by critics and viewers alike. Right from the day of release, Manikarnika has had a strong word of mouth and it continues to have a dream run at the box office.

Recently her sister Rangoli took to Twitter to proudly share the numbers of Kangana's film in her tweet. She tweeted, "Manikarnika investments and returns
