While there were controversies in the media about Malaika Arora Khan - Arbaaz Khan's divorce, the duo recently said that they have taken a break from their 18 year old relationship.On Monday a joint statement was issued by Malaika And Arbaaz which was filled with speculations rather than settling the whole issue.

According to the statement the duo said,"It is causing us too much confusion and is disturbing for our families." Further they continued, "people claiming to be our friends and sources have been speaking on our behalf, giving out wrong, malicious information. Accusing these 'friends' of maligning them, Mr and Mrs Khan explained their long silence by citing that it is "a personal matter between us".

Apart from this, Arbaaz has been told to stay away from Malaika's social gatherings. There is much pressure on Arbaaz by his family to separate with dignity. The statement said that they are not filing for the divorce, "But that doesn't mean people can presume, assume and speculate things of such malicious nature. We are taking out time to figure out our lives... Yes, it's true that we are separated, but where our lives go and what transpires between us, it is for us to decide. Wherever it goes from here, we will talk about it when we are ready to..."

Now this is the waiting period for both Malaika and Arbaaz as they are taking six months for deciding whether to file for divorce or not.
