A lot has been said about filmmaker Khalid Mohammed's remake of veteran Sai Paranjpye's cult comedy film 'Katha'.

While Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub's (of 'Ranjhanaa' fame) casting to play Naseer Saab's role was finalised long back, no one was finalised for Farooq Saab's role.

Though the filmmaker had approached Sohum Shah (actor, co-producer of 'Ship of Thesus'), he withdrew last minute due to creative differences and date issues. However, Khalid has now replaced him with actor-standup comedian Manish Paul.

Khalid feels that eventually everything turned out to be well as he states that Manish according to him is a far better choice than Sohum for the role. The film has gone on floor and will be wrapped up by mid-February.

The film originally starred Naseeruddin Shah, Farooq Sheikh and Deepti Naval in lead roles.
