Bong beauty Rani Mukerji stunned her fans with her power packed performance in 'Mardaani'. Even though the film garnered critical acclaims on a massive scale, Central Board of Film Certification was unwilling to telecast it on television due to its stark violence and language.

However, we have learnt that CBFC has given a nod to it, post numerous cuts that has made it appropriate for television viewing.

Nandini Sardesai of the revising committee said, "We have cleared the film with a U/A certificate and have asked them to tone down a nude scene by about 50 per cent."

The film had only made about nine cuts over 52 seconds. 'Mardaani' which dealt with child trafficking got an A certificate.
