(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are reportedly no longer being investigated about their twins.
The couple became the proud parents of Moroccan and Monroe on April 30. Earlier this month, Nick announced the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) were looking into him and Mariah. He explained the investigation was over fears drugs and alcohol had been around the babies.
According to website TMZ it has now been decided there is no need to continue with the case. DCFS social workers are said to have interviewed Mariah and looked at how the kids are being cared for, and decided all is well with them.
"[They] concluded the children were in a healthy and safe environment," reports the site.
Mariah's lawyer Laura Wasser was with her when she spoke to officials yesterday.
"Our DCFS sources say officials have concluded there is no merit to the complaint," the site added.
Nick made the revelation about the case while on Piers Morgan's talk show. He explained he was finding the situation tough because the babies had only just been born, adding he thought the misunderstanding arose when something a nurse mentioned to Mariah was misunderstood by another person.
"[It was said] that if you drink Guinness... the yeast improves breast-feeding. I don't know if someone overheard that, but then they were saying that my wife was drinking beer and all this stuff," he revealed. (C) Cover Media
