(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nick Cannon is trying to man up ahead of the arrival of his twins with Mariah Carey as he doesnt want to pass out at the birth.

The American star and his superstar singer spouse are expecting a son and daughter very soon. The pair have kept the exact due date secret, but it is thought the new arrivals will make their entrance in the coming months.

The birth is certainly on Nicks mind at the moment, as he took to his Twitter page to share his fears with his fans.

I am probably going to faint in the delivery room! I need to man up! he wrote. Or maybe I should say WOMAN UP since they are the ones that have to be the strongest in the whole ordeal! I am in awe of my wife (sic)!

Nick hosts a radio show and explained listeners have been getting in touch with him to offer tips for when the day arrives. Hearing stories about other peoples births hasnt helped allay his fears though and the 30-year-old is terrified hell make a scene when his 41-year-old wife needs him the most.

People listening @923nowfm are trying to give me advice for when that day comes. I'm trying to prepare but I get queezy in Hospitals LOL (sic), Nick added. (C) Cover Media
