(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Marie Osmond says re-marrying her first husband felt right.

The star wed Stephen Craig in Las Vegas yesterday almost 30 years after they first tied the knot in 1982.

The 51-year-old, who wore the same dress she donned for her first wedding to the former basketball player, revealed the day was everything she had hoped for.

"[It was] probably the most beautiful day I have had in I don't remember [how long]," she said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "Everything has been perfect and we just both can't believe it. We're so happy, and you know how you just know when something's right? Yeah. Some things I guess were just always meant to be, and time makes you grow up and appreciate things. Life is good, you know?"

Marie, who has 28-year-old son Stephen with her new husband, explained her wedding date choice was meant to honour two people close to her heart.

The singer - who also has a son and a daughter and adopted five children with her second husband Brian Blosil and Stephen, 54, chose the date as it is the birthday of her late mother and her second son Michael, who committed suicide last year.

We chose this day to kind of have Michael here as well. It's his birthday, and my mom's birthday, and I don't know, I just kind of feel like she's been on the other side just kind of making this thing happen, she explained.

Marie is proud to have worn her original wedding dress again. The American star stumbled upon the gown almost by accident while spring cleaning her garage.

"I can't breathe, but I'm in it," she laughed. I had a dress all designed [for this wedding] and when it showed up it was not [right]. I was so sad, I was actually kind of in tears. I was cleaning out my garage and all of a sudden this box showed up in this pile of stuff and it was this dress and it was five days ago. I'm not kidding. Isn't that crazy?"
