Matt Damon admits that he's "a terrible cook".
The 41-year-old actor shares three daughters with wife Luciana Bozn Barros Isabella, six, Gia, four, and Stella, 23 months. He is also stepfather to Luciana's daughter from a previous marriage Alexia, 14.
Matt finds it imperative that he exposes his children to healthy food, even though he's not the greatest chef.
"I'm a terrible cook, but I do a little bit of it at home. I'm relegated to kids fare and I can make more of the functional stuff," he told People magazine.
"I cook pasta with butter and steam broccoli. It's all about getting enough healthy food in front of them every three hours. [It's] all about starting early."
Apparently the strategy is effective.
The couple's children love vegetables.
"My wife [Luciana] and I introduced it to them at a very young age and they just don't know any different," he shared.
"Luckily, I found out all three of my youngest girls love broccoli. There are times where I can't get them to eat protein or a little piece of fish because they are going crazy over the broccoli. Sometimes they're the ones bribing me to eat more of my vegetables."
