(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matthew Broderick says married people are often "exposed to temptation".

The actor has been married to actress Sarah Jessica Parker for 14 years.

Matthew admitted that some people find it easy to cheat, but he chooses to remain loyal.

"As long as you live your life in an active way you'll be exposed to temptation," he said in an interview with the German edition of OK! magazine. "And especially in my job as actor I meet a lot of attractive and interesting people. But I am very faithful."

However, there are things about his wife that frustrate Matthew.

Like her character Carrie, in the hit TV show Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica has an obsession with shoes.

"Sarah and her shoes," he exclaimed. "I don't even know how someone can own that many shoes! She even has a walk-in closet for all of them. If there was a fire at our house, I would grab the kids and Sarah would grab as many Manolo [Blahniks] as she could!"

The couple have three children together. Their son James Wilke is nine and their twin girls, Marion and Tabitha, were born through surrogacy in 2009.

Matthew confessed that there are certain details about his past that he wants to keep secret from them.

"Sometimes I stole records and books," he confessed. "More often I took money from my mom's or my dad's purse. I stopped when I was about 25-years-old. Please don't tell this to my kids! For them their father is still a hero." (C) Cover Media
