Matthew Fox drew on sibling rivalry for role

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Matthew Fox examined the way he and his brothers get under each others skin to prepare for his latest theatre role.

The 44-year-old American actor is currently promoting the play In a Forest, Dark and Deep, a sinister comedy about sibling rivalry which will see him making his stage debut in Londons prestigious West End theatre district alongside British actress Olivia Williams.

Matthew says the subject is one he knows a great deal about, as he grew up in the US state of Wyoming with one older brother Francis Jr. - and one younger Bayard.

Despite saying that he loves them both very much and describing them as good friends, he admits that it was useful to tap into the rivalry between him, Francis Jr. and Bayard while preparing for In a Forest, Dark and Deep.

Every time we get together there are things that come up, we know how to get under each others skin...I looked into that a bit to find this thing, he told British show This Morning.

Matthew is living in London for the duration of his theatre stint, and admits he finds it baffling when interviewers continue to ask him how hes coping with the UK climate. The movie star joked that after shooting six seasons of hit show Lost the programme which catapulted him to fame - in sunny Hawaii, he was relieved to have a change. The series ended in May last year, and Matthew has so far been enjoying new pursuits.

I actually really like it, I really do. I know the Londoners feel its not so nice, I enjoy this weather, he beamed, laughing that he got tired of relentlessly beautiful weather. (C) Cover Media
