Matthew Morrison felt like he and Cameron Diaz "really gave birth" during a crucial scene.

The 33-year-old Glee actor stars alongside the stunning actress in new romantic comedy What to Expect When You're Expecting.

Matthew was astounded by the realism of the labour scene they filmed together.

"I went in there with a totally difference direction of how I was going to play that scene. I was not going to cry," Matthew told E! Online. "But it felt so real I just couldn't help myself. I got emotional. It was Cameron, myself and the woman playing the midwife. We all held hands afterwards. We felt like we really gave birth."

Matthew is unsure about how much longer he will remain part of the Glee ensemble.

"A lot of people don't know if they're coming back or not," Matthew said. "They don't know if they have a job. It's a little strange. [It'll] will go at least five [seasons]. A lot just depends on next year."

Despite whether or not he remains on the TV comedy, Matthew envisions a bright future for himself.

"I definitely had a life before Glee and there will definitely be a life after it," Matthew said.
