One of the most renowed superstars in the south film industry, Chiranjeevi has worked in several films from Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi. He was always interested in acting at a young age. After graduation, he joined the Madras Film Institute to seek a career in acting.

Chiranjeevi started off with his career in the movie 'Punadhirallu'. His gained recognition after starring in the movie 'Mana Voori Pandavulu'.

He has won several awards from Filmfare Awards South to Nandi Awards. He has also been honoured with the Padma Bhushan. Besides being a famous actor, Chiranjeevi is a part of the politics as well, who formed the Praja Rajyam Party.

Married to Surekha, daughter of veteran Telugu actor Allu Rama Lingaiah, the couple have two daughters Sushmita and Sreeja and one son Ram Charan. His brothers Nagendra Babu and Pawan Kalyan are also a part of the Telugu film industry.
