The former Spice Girl will vamp it up in bright colours if shes feeling self-confident and outgoing, or tone it down with a baggy jumper if shes feeling a bit miserable.

The 35-year-old mother-of-two prefers simple but sophisticated style when it comes to impressing her husband Stephen Belafonte.

I do like to tone it down with a simpler, sexy look when Im on my weekly date nights with my husband, Stephen. Ill wear a fitted, chic LBD or a Dolce & Gabbana suit it depends on my mood, she told British newspaper The Daily Mail. That definitely affects what I wear on a day-today basis. One day I dont mind wearing a tight skirt and then the next Ill wear a baggy jumper over leggings, but showing my midriff.

Mel, who has a fly-on-the-wall show about her life called Its a Scary World, said she still likes to pay a nostalgic tribute to her old Spice Girls persona of Scary Spice now and again when she goes out.

Nothing is off limits in her wardrobe and she allows her risk-taking personality to shine through when it comes to her outfit decisions.

I still like to be a bit daring - that is exactly why I wore a skintight black catsuit with leopard-print Christian Louboutin high-heeled boots to the

launch of my new show, Its A Scary World, on Sunday, she said. It was in honour of my Scary Spice persona.

The star, who now lives in Los Angeles, admitted to owning 60 bags including some old Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs and Gucci pieces and has a shoe collection which runs into three figures. (C) Cover Media
