(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mel B is expecting her first child with husband Stephen Belafonte.

The former Spice Girls singer already has two daughters from previous relationships, Phoenix Chi, 12, and three-year-old Angel Iris. She married film producer Stephen in 2007 and the pair have made no secret of their desire to have a baby together.

Mel has now confirmed she is expecting, choosing to announce the happy news in a magazine interview. Were really excited. We wouldnt have planned and waited for four yours to have a baby if we werent really excited about it and ready for it. Even though you can never really be truly ready, she told Hello! magazine.

Mel, 35, will give birth this summer, and is yet to decide whether she will find out the sex of the baby beforehand.

I havent fully decided if I want to know or not. Im over the first trimester, so Im past the shady three months and on to safe territory. The first three months, I was pretty sick and tired, to be honest, which Ive never been before, she said.

Stephen is thrilled to be becoming a father again he already has a six-year-old daughter called Giselle. He was blown away when Mel told him the news, and immediately decided to celebrate.

I promptly got a bottle of Cristal champagne and said, Baby, enjoy this glass because you cant drink anymore! I must tell you, she really enjoyed that glass of Cristal, he said.

Mels bandmates Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton are also expecting children later this year. (C) Cover Media
