Mena Suvari finds it hard to admit that her mother was usually right when she was growing up.
The actress was a typical teenager and always used to think she knew best. Looking back she's come to realise things might have been easier if she'd listened to what her mom suggested.
"Relax, be patient and listen. I've since had to admit that all those times my mum thought she was right, she actually was!" she laughed.
Mena, 33, feels content with her life at the moment. She is single and in the process of divorcing Simone Sestito, but feels fine about the way things have worked out.
She is also happy to live a more relaxed life these days. The star shuns busy nights out in favour of something much more relaxed.
"Staying at home," she replied, when Look magazine asked what a normal night consists of for her. "I've definitely been there, done that. I don't drink anymore and I don't really go out. For me, I know what works."
