December 14, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): American television actors Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter have announced to the media that they have decided to put an end to their two year old marriage. According to a statement submitted to the media by the actors representatives, Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter have been in separation for a couple of weeks now and have henceforth decided to file divorce papers to call it quits. Both actors shared screen space in the drama TV series Dexter, albeit as siblings!

Though the actors themselves were not available for comment, the statement issued by their representatives said that the actors have the highest regards for one another even after the split. On the other hand, crew members of Dexter are of the opinion that the differences that Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter had were evident even when the actors were on the sets of the sitcom. It is being said that they hardly spent time with one another in spite of the fact they were part of the same project. This is indeed strange because Jennifer Carpenter was very supportive even a year back when Michael C Hall was undergoing treatment for Hodgkins Lymphoma, a type of cancer.

Hall and Carpenter share no children from their two year marriage. They tied the knot on the New Year eve of 2008 after Jennifer Carpenter reportedly eloped with Michael C Hall after dating him for more than a year.
