(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sir Michael Caine is amazed by how good Tom Hanks is at impersonating him.
The British star's nasal vocals are legendary, with people across the globe keen to try their hand at repeating some of the iconic lines from his movies.
Although many think they're impressive, Michael insists few will top American star Tom's effort. The Hollywood actor loves getting into character as Michael, even appearing as him on US television show Saturday Night Live.
"One of the best impersonations I saw of me was Tom Hanks. If you ever interview Tom Hanks ask him to do an impression of Michael Caine, he's very good," Michael said.
Michael isn't as well versed in all celebrities though. He's currently promoting animated movie Cars 2, where he voices the automobile Finn McMissile. Finn is a spy car with a host of secret weapons, and a toy has been made in his image. It's expected to be the best selling gift this Christmas, even beating a Justin Bieber singing doll. Michael isn't that bothered about the competition - he has no idea who the Canadian singing sensation is.
"Is that right? I didn't know there was [a Bieber doll]. I hope I win obviously. I don't know who he is. I don't know who you are Justin," he laughed to UK television show Daybreak.
Michael is proud of Cars 2, the sequel to the 2006 movie. It's a Pixar picture and he insists it's just as suitable for adults as the kids it's aimed at.
"That's the point about this. If you're a dad and you've got to take your kids to see a cartoon, you think, Oh God, I've got to sit through this I'll do it for my kids.' This one you'll enjoy as much as the kids. It's amazing," he explained.
"The difficulty is to make it look easy. It's like watching Fred Astaire dance. He was a genius because he danced so easily. You'd look at him and think, I could dance like that. I bet ya.' You couldn't." (C) Cover Media
