Michael Douglas keen to star alongside wife

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michael Douglas is reportedly keen to star in a movie with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.

The actor underwent intense radiation and chemotherapy for stage four cancer after doctors discovered a large tumour inside his throat last year, but he is now confident he will make a full recovery.

Although Michael and Catherine have said they would love to travel around the world with their two kids ten-year-old Dylan and Carys, seven once Michael had finished his treatment, it has now been claimed the pair are considering working together.

The pair have reportedly been looking at several scripts in a bid to find the perfect project for them to star in.

"Michael has been through hell with his throat cancer and just wants to put it behind him and get back to work," a source revealed. "But at the same time he values his family more than ever. It makes perfect sense to work on a project with Catherine. It's most likely to be a romantic comedy and may even draw on what they have been through together."

Michael and Catherine, 41, were previously seen together in 2000 movie Traffic, which was filmed while Catherine was pregnant with Dylan.

Michael, 66, recently revealed his cancer diagnosis has brought him even closer to his family.

The thing I will be so eternally grateful to cancer for is how it has shown me a love, a bond, Michael said in January. As well with my family, best friends, close friends that I never imagined would have been so deep. I thank cancer for that." (C) Cover Media
