Michael Sheen discusses Twilight climax

5th May 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michael Sheen has assured fans that the final Twilight movie certainly wont be anticlimactic.

The 42-year-old Welsh actor portrays vampire Aro, one of the leaders of the Volturi in the hugely popular film franchise, which is adapted from the best-selling novels of Stephenie Meyer.

Fans of the saga are eagerly awaiting the release of the final two movies in the franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and Part 2, later this year and in 2012 respectively.

Some critics have described battles taking place at the end of the Breaking Dawn book as being somewhat of a disappointment, although Michael is adamant the film will produce a very different reaction.

"Oh this is very amped up, yeah," he told MTV when asked how the movies battle scenes will compare to those in the novel.

"This is, I think we spent something like four or five weeks shooting that scene and it takes up a big chunk of the movie.

"And it's got extraordinary things going on in it, so it certainly won't be anticlimactic."

The Twilight franchise has made international stars of all its cast members including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Another star of the film is Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen and the actor has also hinted at some dramatic battle scenes.

"I don't want to give away too much, but if you've read the books, it's the standoff with lots of vampires in play," he said. "There's like 70 people going through the works at once. It's a little maddening, but fun." (C) Cover Media
