Mike Sorrentino advised to get sober coach'

11th April 2012

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has reportedly been advised to get a "sober living companion" while he films the next season of Jersey Shore.

The reality star checked out of a rehab facility recently following his battle with prescription pills.

But RadarOnline claims that Mike may need some extra help so he isn't tempted back into his partying ways once cameras start to roll for the sixth season.

"Doctors at Cirque Lodge advised him that he should have a sober living companion with him at all time when he is in Seaside Heights," a source told the site.

"The sober living companion would have to move into the Shore house along with the other cast members. The companion wouldn't need, nor want to appear on camera, but putting Mike back into that world without a strong support system around him is asking for trouble.

"Mike doesn't think he needs someone to be with him and essentially be a babysitter, and this has his doctors extremely concerned for his sobriety and recovery."

MTV have apparently told the 29-year-old that they "have no plans to replace him and told him he is welcome to come back."
