The 46-year-old retired boxer is collaborating with Larry "Ratso" Sloman on Undisputed Truth, according to USA Today.
The writer previously worked on Howard Stern's memoir, Private Parts.
Iron Mike is expected to lift the curtain on his tumultuous life.
The former heavyweight champion's career was sensationally overshadowed following his 1992 rape conviction and a highly-publicised battle with drug addiction, ultimately leading the multi-millionaire to file for bankruptcy in 2003.
The former athlete mounted a one-man show on Broadway in August, in which he opened up about his life's tragedies.
"I have to be careful. I can't stay on certain subjects for a long time, because I might cry," he said at a press event at the time.
Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, directed by Spike Lee, had already enjoyed a successful run in Las Vegas before heading to Broadway.
Undisputed Truth the memoir is scheduled for release next summer by Blue Rider Press. (C) Cover Media
