Milla Jovovich: New Resident Evil movie is sick

26th August 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Milla Jovovich has become “attached” to her Resident Evil character.

The 34-year-old actress plays Alice in the sci-fi horror franchise about a group of “survivors” who try to stay alive in a world that has become overrun with zombies. Milla starred in the first movie in 2002, and has since appeared in two sequels, Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Extinction.

She recently finished filming the fourth film in the series Resident Evil: Afterlife, which is due for release next month. Milla has been thrilled every time she has been offered the chance to reprise her role in another movie because she loves her character so much.

"I'm attached to [Alice] now," Milla told ET Online. "Now I feel in a sense like its family. It's really kind of become such a huge part of my world, and the training process, and being able to just to go through all these adventures, it's a lot of fun."

The Resident Evil franchise is based on a popular computer game of the same name. The films are directed by Milla’s husband Paul W. S. Anderson and the actress enjoys working with her spouse because he pushes her to achieve her best work.

She is thrilled with the scenes she has shot for the upcoming movie, and can’t wait for fans to see how “sick” it is.

"I'm blown away by the things that I've seen so far that we've done. I mean, we're flipping out doing it, so I would imagine people will flip out seeing it," Milla said.

"It's really like a dream come true to be able to go up there and fly and to do these amazing gymnastics in the air. It is just the most action-packed, the most crazy, full-on experience that you could imagine from a Resident Evil movie. I think it's going to be sick!" (C) Cover Media
