(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jamie Hince has reportedly asked bandmate Alison Mosshart to be his best man.

British guitarist Jamie co-founded The Kills with American singer Alison, and the rockers are close pals. Due to their great bond, Jamie is said to have decided Alison would be the perfect person to fulfil the best man duties at his upcoming nuptials to supermodel Kate Moss. It is thought Jamie is proud of his unique idea, and sees no reason why the supporting role should be performed by a guy.

Jamie and Alison have done everything together for ten years, so he doesnt see why he should have to pick a bloke to stand beside him, a source told British newspaper The Daily Mirror.

Alisons responsibilities will include organising the bachelor party, making sure Jamie arrives at the wedding on time, and looking after the rings. It is believed Kate is happy with the arrangement, and thinks a female best man is a good initiative.

When she found out Jamie had asked Alison to be his best man she gave her a huge hug and said she was happy for her to do it, added the source.

Jamie and Kate are set to tie the knot in the UK this July. It has been reported that Kate will be having a bachelorette party at the Isle of Wight festival this June with all her showbiz pals, so Alison needs to pull out the stops for Jamies last days of freedom.

It will be a rock n roll affair but not on the scale of Kates, the source added. She also wants to have a quiet do with his mom, dad and sister Sarah.
