Director Siva is coming up with his Pongal release Siruthai, which will first time present actor Karthi in double roles. It is a remake of Telugu movie Vikramarkudu, which starred Anushka, Ravi Teja and Brahmanadham. In Tamil version, Tamannah and Santhanam will play the other two important roles.

Karthi will be seen as an honest IPS officer Ratnavel Pandian and also as a pickpocket Rocket Raja. Rajas love interest will be played by Tamannah and Santhanam plays Rocket Rajas sidekick Pattu Poochi.

The movie has an item number by Meghna Naidu. Other cast in the film include the actors like Rajiv Kanakala, Avinash and Manobala.

The film tells the story of two contradicting characters, who have different values in life. However, they are brought together by destiny and a series of events follow after that.

Rocket Raja and his sidekick enjoy pickpocketing and leave nothing behind during their act. However, his life changes when a little girl (baby Rakshana) enters his life claiming to be his daughter. Raja tries to find out the truth and discovers that the girl is the daughter of a police officer, who gets killed in front of Raja during an action after the deadly dons.

He is totally a changed man after this incident and decides to finish the dons on behalf of the dead cop. It has a perfect mix of romance, action, fun, comedy, glamour and sentiments.

Hopefully, the film will be loved by the audience during Pongal.
