Music Video By Will Smiths Daughter

25th October 2010

October 25, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Will Smith and Jada Pinketts nine-year-old daughter Willow Smiths has come up with a music video Whip My Hair. If anything, it captures the diva side of this singing sensation, to rival the works of her rapper father, Will Smith.

The pre-teen music diva introduces the 21st century version of head banging or should we say, a new style of wall painting - in Whip My Hair, video, as she actually whips her tresses, styled in a variety of shapes and ways long braids, heart-shaped Mohawk, Back-combed pouf; dipped in some paint; on the white-washed walls of a class-room; singing and dancing and throwing her little head around, on the tunes of: Doesnt matter if its long or short, whip your hair. As the song ends, the room turns into a you guessed it, multi-colored confection. Karate Kid star and Willows elder brother, Jaden, appears to make a cameo towards the end of his little sisters video.

With her very first solo Whip My Hair, Willow has created enough waves to get encouragement from the mogul Jay-Z, who has signed Willow Smith to his label, Roc Nation. Considering her support network, including Justin Bieber, her first album is certainly destined to be a smashing hit. Bieber is the Smiths old friend and has sung a duet with Will Smiths 12-year-old-son Jaden, on Never Say Never.

Willows parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, are pretty sure that their little daughter will be able to handle the pressure of recording a music album successfully, as they have seen her handle the pressure of acting. Willow made her acting debut at the tender age of 7, appearing opposite her dad, in I Am Legend. She joined her mom in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. Willow was seen in Kit Kitteredge as well.

The actor and rapper brother and sister duo Jaden and Willow, are slated to star opposite each other in a fantasy film titled Amulet.

As the buzz goes, she is already being compared to the pop star Rihanna, who also got her backing by Jay-Z.
