My Chemical Romance star fears failure

14th November 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Gerard Way is terrified of releasing the new My Chemical Romance album in case it bombs.

The American group have been working on the follow up to their last release The Black Parade since 2006. They did make an entire new release before deciding to scrap it because it didnt feel right, with their new record Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys due out soon.

Gerard is excited to hear what people think of the LP, but admits its nerve-wracking too. Im terrified to put the album out, which is great, he said. But how its received is very secondary for me, I just cant wait to get out there and have an adventure. I want to meet crazy, f**ked-up people at 3am. Bring me your weirdest sh*t.

The singer is sure fans will be pleased when they hear it. He says it is the kind of record which needs to be listened to really loud, which should appeal to lots of people.

Its all about getting in the car, hitting the gas and no one able to stop you, he told Q magazine. Its large and bombastic. It feels like West Side Story with laser guns. (C) Cover Media
