One of the greatest stars in the Tollywood film industry, Nagarjuna Akkineni turns a year older today. A man of style, charisma and charm, Nagarjuna is contributed immensely to the Indian cinema.

Born and bought up in Chennai, he is the son of Nageswara Rao Akkineni who is also an actor. He completed his enducation in Chennai and went onto pursuing Automobile Engineering from the Eastern Michigan University.

Nagarjuna got into the film industry as a child artist in the movie 'Sudigundalu'. Years later, he made his debut as a lead actor in the Telugu film 'Vikram'. Nagarjuna has stared in many film where he has won awards for his best performance like 'Siva', 'Ninne Pelladatha', 'Annamayya' etc.

The actor has won the National Film Awards, Nandi Awards and Filmfare Awards. Besides acting, he also owns the Production company, Annapurna Studios and is the president of the non-profit film school Annapurna International School of Film and Media which is based in Hyderabad.

Married to Amala Akkineni, the lovely couple have two sons, Naga Chaitanya Akkineni and Akhil Akkineni.
