Seems like the demand of Nayantara in films has raised her price so much that the producers are not able to afford her. 

The buzz is that recently Aascar Ravichandran approached the Billa actress for his next film Boologam. But the approach turned out to be too expensive for the producer when the actress named her the price. Though the right number is still unknown, it is said that she apparently had demanded an eight digit figure. 

However, the actress has taken a backseat for the producer and the role is now bagged by Amala Paul. She will be paired opposite to Jayam Ravi in the film directed by S P Jagannathan.
