(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nick Cannon thinks fatherhood is "amazing" and finds "leaving" his family for work difficult.

Nick's wife Mariah Carey gave birth to twins on April 30 this year. Moroccan Cannon is a boy and Monroe Cannon a girl. Being a patriarch is one of Nick's greatest joys.

"There is no worst part at all. Everything is amazing about fatherhood," Nick said to OK! magazine at the America's Got Talent show Wednesday night. "The best part is when they communicate with you and they recognise you. It's the best."

Nick tries to fit as much family time into his hectic work schedule as possible. Being apart from his clan is extremely difficult for him to deal with emotionally.

"It's the toughest thing in the world leaving my family in general, not just my children, but my wife," Nick explained. "Knowing that [Mariah] is there with them being mommy, I don't want to miss any of those moments!"

Nick has great pride for his children and is always impressed by his gorgeous wife Mariah. Just months after going through labour, Nick thinks Mariah is looking really fit. Her post-baby shape reminds Nick of her younger years.

"She is getting [the baby weight] off," Nick said. "She is about to be 1990 again!" (C) Cover Media
