The 30-year-old television star has been married to singer Mariah Carey since 2008 and is looking forward to starting a family with his beautiful wife.

There have been rumours circulating lately that Mariah is pregnant with their first child, although nothing has been confirmed yet. When they do finally become parents though, Nick hopes their offspring will have successful careers, far away from the realm of music and television.

I want my kids to be brain surgeons! Astronauts are what I'm looking for. I'm aiming high! he told In Touch.

Nick was also happy to offer an insight into the type of mother he thinks Mariah will be. The romantic star insists his wife will be the ideal parent because she has such a caring nature.
