Nicki Minaj is reportedly adamant one of her five-year-old fans will perform with her at the American Music Awards (AMAs).
The rapper is due to take to the stage at this Sunday's ceremony to give a rendition of her track Super Bass alongside David Guetta.
She's apparently decided she wants to make things extra special and has asked two of her fans to appear with her. YouTube sensation Sophia Grace Brownlee, eight, and her five-year-old cousin Rosie have made the headlines for their renditions of Nicki's songs. The rapper loves the idea of giving them a proper moment in the limelight.
However, it's been claimed the idea has caused problems for those organising the AMAs as it has hiked up the cost of Nicki's performance.
"It pushed things over budget by including lodging and compensation for the wee performers. Minaj also won't tone down her suggestive wardrobe and routine," reports New York Post.
The 28-year-old is planning an electro-themed performance, which will reportedly including having electric items on stage. Nicki wants some of them to vibrate, but show organisers have warned that is inappropriate if children are involved.
"The producers don't want kids dancing to a song with that. She won't back down," the insider claimed.
The singer's representative hasn't commented, while TV network ABC would only say: "All I know is the girls are working the red carpet. Other than that, I suggest you tune in Sunday night."
Nicki has met Sophia and Rosie already. Their rendition of Super Bass has been watched by over seven million people on video sharing website YouTube and she surprised them by performing it with them on The Ellen DeGeneres show.
The AMAs will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, airing live on ABC.
