The reality-television star-turned-fashion designer has received huge praise for her House of Harlow 1960 jewellery line and bohemian clothing label Winter Kate, and is considered one of Americas most stylish women.

Nicole has been offering her top tips for fall trends, advising ladies to invest in a bright red handbag to inject personality into an outfit.

A red bag is a good pop-out piece if you are wearing all black, so its perfect for fall, she told the website WhoWhatWear.com.

The star also revealed that despite being famous for wearing elaborate outfits on the red carpet, she actually thinks the minimalistic look can often be more stylish.

Nicole loves looking elegant in a simple white and denim combination, then just adding a patterned coat for extra glamour.
